Who is Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is The Son of God who rules over our world

Of all the major world religious leaders, only Jesus claimed to be God.  John 10:30
He lived on this earth as a  man. He felt heat, hunger, thirst,  pain and love.
Fully God and Fully Man.
Jesus was crucified, and He died. He was buried and He rose again 3 days later, just as the prophets and Jesus had foretold.
“Please consider:

1. The cross of Christ is the single distinguishing feature of the church. Other faiths have laws and morals,

ceremonies, rewards and punishment, but NO other religion speaks of a dying  Saviour.

They never show us the cross. The cross is the crowning glory of the Christian gospel – it’s the cross that provides relief, speaks comfort and gives assurance.

2. The cross of Christ is the strength of every pastor. ‘I should feel like a soldier without arms, like an artist without his pencil, like a ship’s captain without a compass – as a pastor: give me the cross of Christ, it is the only lever that has ever turned the world upside down.’ (J C Ryle)

3. The cross of Christ is the secret of all mission work. The cross is the only weapon that has won victories in the hearts of people all over the world – all races, all cultures, and all nations have felt its power.

4. The cross of Christ is the glory of every church. We love our churches, we want them to grow, we seek the good of our congregations, we want for them the best biblical teaching, the best fellowship, the best music,

we want what is good and honourable … BUT, no church will ever be honoured in which Christ crucified is not the focus, and in which the message of the cross is not continually lifted up.

It’s through the message of the cross that darkened hearts will be given light, lives will change, the grieving will be comforted, the downcast given hope and the wanderer brought home.”

Jesus died for us so that we may be cleansed of our sins, come to know God in our lifetime and have a relationship with Him now and eternally.

There is nothing we can do to earn God’s love.

His love, Grace and Mercy are given freely to  everyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God
who lived on earth, suffered, died and rose again to pay the price for our sins; John 1:12 http://biblehub.com/john/1-12.htm
By His wounds, we are healed…’ Isaiah 53.
You can’t wait to be good enough, sinless enough, or wait to live a better life before asking Jesus to come into your heart and change your life.
You need Jesus so that your life may be changed.
Your sin is never too great to prevent you from receiving God’s gift. God hates all sin, big or little He doesn’t grade sin.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
not by works, so that no one can boast.” http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+2%3A8-9&version=NIV
